Advantages of sublimation printing

Disadvantages of sublimation printing

  • If printing with fabric, it must be 2/3rd or 100% polyester. 
  • For other substrates, only those items that have a polyester coating can be used. 
  • You cannot print on black or dark-colour surfaces with sublimation printing. 
  • After a few months, due to the effect of UV rays from the sun, the item may lose colour. 
  • Sublimation printing uses an inkjet printer whose heads can become clogged if not used frequently. Due to this, the printer needs to be on at all times, which can be a drain of energy. 

The advantages offered by sublimation printing far outweigh its disadvantages, and you would do well to try this process of printing.
